Bird Call by Tom Jonsson

For This Neck of the Woods Tom installed an answering machine in the garden, hidden inside a miniature house that he had brought from Canada. The house came from a project by Canadian artist Donna Akrey(left).

During the opening of This Neck of the Woods people called from around the world to contribute thier bird chirps to the site.

Tom came to TNOTW on his way back from a residency in Estonia. There he met American artist Ted Holdt. For the opening of TNOTW Tom presented us with a blanket from Ted’s sweat lodge performances. We now have this blanket to help keep us warm in the Dwelling for Intervals.
