Sam Tram Glam Ram - Maps and Puppets by Sam Ollmann-Chan
Sam enters the space. In This Neck of the Woods he always knows the way.
On the monitor is a tree full of birds. But the longer he looks, the more he sees. There is a map etching itself onto his memory...french fries, wild animals in captivity, groene passages, red cranes, pannenkoeken, and a catwalk of grass in the wilderness coliseum of an urban backyard.
"Where am I?"
From the TV screen things begin to make sense. Under the tree is a puppet dancing to some electric guitar twangs in the dark of night.
"I am one. I am one-hundred and one."
Sam Ollmann Ng (Montreal, Canada) was an official resident of This Neck of the Woods from May 24 - June 8, 2006. He worked had his first birthday on June 7th and worked in collaboration with his mom Taien and his dad Joe.
