Adriana has created various light and movement based instruments that she brings into alternative contexts. She often works in collaboration with other artists in responding to each site.

Adriana came to This Neck of the Woods - Dwelling for Intervals, to work with the cabin (as a potential skeleton for her “bodiless light instrument”) and the woods (as an unstable source of light for her “sounding light instrument”). Together with the resident technician she created Wet Behind the Ears - an instrument/installation for drawing sounds.

Adriana (Portugal) was an official resident in This Neck of the Woods from August 10-19, 2006.

Adriana's residency was made possible with the assistance of IA-Instituto das Artes / Ministry of Culture (Portugal).
